Prenatal Physical Therapy
Many mothers and health care providers will tell you pain and even urine leakage is to be expected during pregnancy. They may even give you the advice to "learn to live with it" because there is nothing you can do about it.
We offer several treatment programs to help women experience a healthy, pain-free pregnancy.

  • Pain Relief
When you are pregnant, your body experiences a significant amount of changes, all of which are normal, but can lead to a significant amount of pain for expectant moms. You can get pain relief with manual therapy and learn some exercises that will help prevent pain from reoccurring.
  • Incontinence
Many women experience urinary leakage when they are pregnant and are not aware that there is treatment for it.
  • Birthing Preparation
To better prepare for labor, we offer a birthing preparation program. It is best to do this a couple of months before you deliver.
  • Early Postpartum Education
Learn how to prepare for the early days after delivery. We will teach you simple ways to reduce pain, prevent injuries and gentle exercises that can be started from day one after childbirth, even if you have a C-section.

Postpartum Physical Therapy
If you were unable to come earlier, we recommend that new moms come in for a pelvic floor check up as early as 6 weeks after delivery.

  • 6 Week Check Up
It is best to come in for a bio-mechanical check up with a women's health physical therapist 6 weeks after childbirth.
Your therapist will evaluate the strength of your pelvic floor muscles, evaluate your abdomen for Diastasis Recti and help resolve dysfunctions that may be causing pain or urine leakage.
  • Treatment of Pain
We are manual physical therapists and offer treatment programs for back and neck pain, pelvic pain and other aches and pains that you may be experiencing.
  • Incontinence
We are women's health physical therapy experts and can help you to stop leaking, even when you sneeze, cough or laugh!
Even though it is common to leak urine after childbirth, it is not normal.
Pelvic floor physical therapy can help resolve this embarrassing problem.
  • Diastasis Recti (aka: Mommy Tummy)
Many women develop an unsightly bulge or dome in their bellies after childbirth. We offer a comprehensive program that will help prevent making your mommy tummy worse. You will also learn how to progress through the Baby Bod exercise program to get the best results possible.
  • Blocked Milk Ducts
If a mother is unable to clear a blocked milk duct on her own, physical therapy intervention has proven to be very helpful. A very specific massage technique and therapeutic ultrasound is used to help pump the milk out and unblock the duct.
This treatment can help prevent developing an infection, mastitis, if it is done early enough, so timely treatment is important.

Experienced Moms

Once Postpartum, Always Postpartum
Although you may have delivered your child months or even years ago, the physical dysfunctions you are experiencing today can be a direct result of your child birthing experience.
Many of the moms who come to our practice for treatment are shocked when they learn that their pain, urine leakage is directly related to the changes that occurred to their bodies as a result of pregnancy or childbirth, even if it is years later. Some of the dysfunctions we treat are:

  • Back and pelvic pain
  • Incontinence
  • Diastasis Recti (aka: Mommy Tummy)
  • Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction
  • Constipation
  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse
